Italy arrests two jihadists planning attacks on Italian civilians
They met to plot jihad at the "Peace Cultural Centre."
"Al Qaeda terror suspects nabbed," from ANSA, December 2 (thanks to Insubria):
(ANSA) - Milan, December 2 - Milan anti-terrorist police on Tuesday arrested two Moroccans suspected of belonging to al Qaeda who were planning attacks on targets in northern Italy.Police said Rachid Ilhami, 31, and Gafir Abdelkader, 42, had planned attacks on a supermarket and a night club carpark in Seregno and two police stations in Giussano, both towns in the northern province of Monza.
Wiretaps revealed the men had initially planned to use a van packed with explosives but then decided on oxygen cylinders after Internet research.
Police said the men had revealed their links to al Qaeda during their conversations.
A total of ten people are under investigation as a result of the operation.
Police also seized the Peace Cultural Centre in the village of Macherio, where Ilhami worked as a preacher.
According to investigators, small groups of fundamentalists met at the centre in the evenings after the day's official sermons were finished.

Raymond Ibrahim Appointed Associate Director of the Middle East Forum
I am very pleased to announce that I will be working at the Middle East Forum as Associate Director starting January 2009. I will also, of course, continue writing daily for Jihad Watch. Here is the press release from the MEF website, which was sent out yesterday, December 1, 2008:
Philadelphia – The Middle East Forum announces the appointment of Raymond Ibrahim as associate director.Mr. Ibrahim will help to oversee the Forum's programs and projects and serve as associate publisher for the Middle East Quarterly. He will do original research and write about radical Islam and jihad, particularly from the doctrinal and historical viewpoints.
Mr. Ibrahim has worked for six years at the Library of Congress as a technician/reference assistant, working closely with Middle East language materials. He discovered there al-Qaeda tracts that he went on to translate and annotate for The Al Qaeda Reader (Doubleday, 2007). His book, he explains, shows that "radical Islam's war with the West is not finite and limited to political grievances … but is existential, transcending time and space and deeply rooted in faith."
Born in the United States to immigrant Coptic parents, Mr. Ibrahim was raised in a bilingual environment and is fluent in Arabic. He received his B.A. and M.A. (both in history) from California State University, Fresno, where he studied with Victor Davis Hanson; his M.A. thesis examined the early Islamic conquests. He has done graduate work at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies of Georgetown University, and is currently working on his doctorate in medieval Islamic history at Catholic University.
Mr. Ibrahim has authored many articles, essays, and translations on Middle-East-related topics in such publications as the Chronicle of Higher Education, Jane's Islamic Affairs Analyst, Middle East Review of International Affairs, Los Angeles Times, Washington Times, New York Times Syndicate, National Review, and Weekly Standard. He writes daily for JihadWatch.com.
Mr. Ibrahim has been interviewed on many television and radio shows, including Fox News, C-SPAN, NPR, and PBS. He has lectured and debated at universities, and has briefed several governmental agencies, including the Department of State and the Defense Intelligence Agency.
"I look forward to contributing to the Forum's tradition of defining and promoting American interests in the Middle East, especially at this moment when the Middle East is undergoing socio-political upheavals and Washington is in transition," Mr. Ibrahim said on taking the position.
"We are delighted that a young scholar of such achievement and so much potential has joined the Middle East Forum in a key capacity," observed Daniel Pipes, the Middle East Forum's director.

Pakistan "security expert": Mumbai the work of "Hindu Zionists" and "Western Zionists"
And for a little lagniappe, he blamed America for 9/11.
Remember also that the Muslim Brotherhood said something like this a few days ago. Projection Alert: "Pak TV channel says 26/11 hatched by Hindu Zionists," from the Times of India, December 2 (thanks to Sr. Soph):
NEW DELHI: Mumbai's 26/11 was actually a plan hatched by "Hindu Zionists" and "Western Zionists", including the Mossad, said a self-styled Pakistan security expert on a Pakistan news television show, uploaded on www.hotklix.com."Inki shaklein Hinduonwali hain, jis zabaan mein guftagoo kar rahein hain, woh zabaan koi Pakistani istemaal nahin karta hai (They look like Hindus. No Pakistani speaks the language they chatted in)," said Zaid Hamid while referring to the terrorists on the show Mujhe Ikhtilaf Hai (I differ) on Pakistan's News One channel. The sensationalist channel was launched in November last year.
Hamid said that it was a "badly planned" operation that had gone horribly wrong. "9/11 jo Americans ne kiya tha usko bahut khoobsurat camouflage kiya tha. Unhone media mein perception management bahut acchha kiya . Indians ne wahi game repeat karne ki koshish ki, lekin akal to hai nahin . In ahmakon ne complete disaster kiya isko handle karne mein . (The Americans executed the 9/11 attack perfectly. They managed the media very well. The Indians tried to repeat the formula but goofed up. The idiots made a complete mess of it).
He said that the attackers wore saffron Hindu Zionist bands, which no Muslim would tie. Hamid also said that within the first 5 minutes of the attack, the three ATS policemen investigating the network of terror within India's security agencies and radical right were killed....
"Hindu Zionists." Well, I suppose it is no more outlandish a construct than "Non-Supremacist Islam."

UK Muslim leader: "In an Islamic state, non-Muslims will have to wear a sign to show what they are – it should say Kaffir. We won’t discriminate on height, race or appearance but we will discriminate on faith."
Choudary believes no non-Muslim is innocent
"The subject peoples," [i.e., the dhimmis] according to a manual of Islamic law endorsed by Al-Azhar University in Cairo, must "pay the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya)" and "are distinguished from Muslims in dress..." ('Umdat al-Salik, o11.3).
"Terror Cops Fear 'Mumbai Attack' In UK," by Tom Savage and Josh Layton for the UK Daily Star tabloid, December 2 (thanks to all who sent this in):
RANTING Anjem Choudary launched an astonishing anti-British tirade as terror experts warned yesterday of a Mumbai-style massacre in Britain. The hate preacher called for apartheid in the UK just days after backing the killers in India. And his supporters threatened to unleash “blood on the streets”. [...]
Choudary, 41, spoke at a packed public meeting called “Not So Great Britain”.
It was held at a council-owned arts centre in Southall, Middlesex, by Islam4UK.com – a website he founded with banned hate preacher Omar Bakri Mohammad.
Filthy
He branded Britain “filthy”, accused children of being “prostitutes” and demanded non-Muslims wear signs like the Nazis forced on the Jews in WWII.
Crazed Choudary said: “In Britain there are 230 rapes every day, that’s 10 per hour. Supermarkets are selling poles for little children so they can become prostitutes when they grow up. There’s no comparison between our way of life and theirs.
“In an Islamic state, non-Muslims will have to wear a sign to show what they are – it should say Kaffir. We won’t discriminate on height, race or appearance but we will discriminate on faith.” Earlier, Bakri spoke via videophone from Lebanon.
Meanwhile, one of Choudary’s henchmen at Islam4UK, which has close links to banned group al-Muhajiroun, warned: “You will know when the Muslims have ignited an insurrection when there is blood on the streets of London and New York like there is blood on the streets of Fallujah and Mumbai.”...

Spencer off topic
Last night I was on the Infidel Bloggers Alliance radio show with Pastorius and the Fu2rman, starting at about fifteen minutes into this podcast.
For about half of the 45 minutes I was on, we talked about the stealth jihad in America, but in the first part of my interview, starting with the music they used to bring me on, we got off topic. Way off topic, although in a certain sense, as I pointed out at one point, we were still on topic all along. It was fun.

Why resist the jihad?

Because of a little boy who is calling for his mama
For background, see here: "Rescued boy Moshe Holtzberg wakes up to his second birthday an orphan," by Sheera Frenkel and Catherine Philp in the Times, November 29 (thanks to Anne Crockett).
How is the picture of this poor orphaned and weeping boy different from the Pallywood pictures of buildings reduced to rubble by Israeli rockets, in which there is invariably a child's doll, miraculously untouched by the dust all around it, sticking conspicuously out of the wreckage?
For one thing, this is real, that is staged.
For another, "Palestinian" jihadists, as well as those of Hizballah, have purposely staged jihad attacks against Israel from civilian areas, in order to draw a response that would harm civilians and thus be useful for propaganda purposes. By contrast, Israeli and American forces go to immense lengths to avoid harming civilians, while these jihadists have frequently celebrated the murder of civilians.
The jihadists who are celebrating the murders of this little boys' parents are evil. And evil must be resisted. Evil must be defeated.

Spencer on the BBC: Must Muslims now accept that Islam has a problem with terrorism?
Sometime during the hour between 10 and 11AM Pacific time, that is, in just a few minutes, the BBC World Service will include me in a radio discussion on the question, "Must Muslims now accept that Islam has a problem with terrorism?" I don't know exactly when, but you can listen online at the link.
I'm told also that the others commenting on this point include an array of some of the top apologists for Islamic activity in the world today. They will no doubt be doing quite a bit of obfuscating and finger-pointing, but I will do my best to break through the fog in the time I'm given.

Hamas top dog: Within several years, the world will submit to Muslim will
Note his reference to this hadith:
Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."
"Hamas Leader Khaled Mash'al: Within Several Years, the World Will Submit to Arab and Islamic Will," from MEMRITV, October 12, but apparently posted more recently (thanks to Sr. Soph):
Following are excerpts from a public address delivered by Hamas Leader Khaled Mash'al, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on October 12, 2008:Khaled Mash'al: All the peoples say "no" to American hegemony. Therefore, our nation is doing well, and is capable of achievements, even in difficult times. Great nations always face many challenges.
[...]
The world today is turning to an international policy that is based on multipolarity. Look how Allah made a laughingstock of America. I tell you, brothers and sisters, the Arabs and the Muslims are second only to Allah in transforming international policy from unipolarity to multipolarity. This is taking place thanks to Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and to all the steadfast resistance forces of our nation. Today, Chavez defies the U.S, even though he lives in its backyard, while we, tens of thousands of miles away, fear America?
[...]
It has been proven that this oppressive world, which is based on usury and tyranny... Within moments, Allah makes all these systems collapse. What is important is that when Allah observes his slaves, He sees that they are taking action on the ground. Then, He mobilizes the entire universe to help them. Otherwise, how are we to believe the hadith that tells us that the trees and the stones will fight on our side? The day will come, within several years, when this world will change, submitting to the Arab Islamic will, Allah willing.

India demands Pakistan hand over two jihadists
Temperatures continuing to rise. "India Demands Action From Pakistan," by Matthew Rosenberg and Eric Bellman, from the Wall Street Journal, December 1 (thanks to DFS):
MUMBAI, India -- With evidence of a Pakistani link to the attack on Mumbai growing, India demanded Monday that Islamabad hand over two important terror suspects and warned that relations between the nuclear-armed rivals would suffer if swift action isn't taken.Indian officials told Pakistan's senior envoy to New Delhi of the demands after summoning him to the foreign ministry, said an official familiar with the meeting.
"He was informed that the recent terrorist attack on Mumbai was carried out by elements from Pakistan," the foreign ministry said in a statement after the meeting. India "expects that strong action would be taken against those elements, whosoever they may be, responsible for this outrage."
The two men India is pressing Pakistan to turn over have long topped New Delhi's most wanted list. They are Dawood Ibrahim, a one-time Mumbai gangster with ties to everyone from Bollywood power brokers to Islamic militants, and Maulana Masood Azhar, the leader of the banned Pakistani militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed, who was once jailed in India.
Both men have been accused of orchestrating previous attacks in India, but neither has been directly implicated in last week's assault on Mumbai that left at least 172 people dead and 239 wounded. Diplomats and political analysts say that suggests India is using the international outrage over the attack to pressure Pakistan for a broader crackdown against Islamist militant groups and individuals believed to be targeting India, which has suffered more than a dozen terror bombings in the past three years.
There was no immediate reaction from Pakistan to the Indian demands....

Nigeria: 2,000 "angry youths" storm mosque
More from the ever-ambiguous yet perpetually angry "youth" who go on apparently "random" rampages every once in a while. And what triggered this latest outburst, which left hundreds dead? Rumors that Muslims had lost a local democratic election to a Christian party. Nothing new: four years earlier in this same district, the Muslims -- youths and otherwise -- went on a rampage killing 1500 Christians and destroying 173 churches.
"2,000 youths storm mosque in riot-torn Nigerian city," by Amini Abubakar for the Star Phoenix, December 1:
JOS, Nigeria - Two thousand angry youths stormed a mosque in the riot-torn city of Jos on Monday as a top parliament official appealed for an end to religious troubles that have left hundreds dead, witnesses said.Thousands of troops and police patrolled the streets of the central city after the clashes between rival Christians and Muslims however and a relative calm led to an easing of a curfew.
Youths entered the main mosque as the speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, made an appeal to Muslim leaders for calm.
The youths shouted for the removal of Plateau state governor Jonah Jang and his government before they left after an intervention by Muslim leaders and the mosque was cordoned off.
"You must put your anger in your pockets," Bankole told them.[...]
The state government has said about 200 people died in the clashes, though other sources have given a toll twice the official figure.
A Red Cross official spoke of "well over 300 people killed" and Khaled Abubakar, an imam at the central mosque, and another Muslim official spoke of about 400 bodies taken to the mosque. A Christian clergyman spoke of "several hundred" killed.
Corpses that were still visible in large numbers on Sunday had all been removed from the streets of the town and buried by Monday.[...]
"It is important that this thing doesn't go beyond Jos and we need you to tell the youth this," Bankole told Muslim leaders at the mosque meeting.
Thousands of people sought refuge in churches, mosques and army and police barracks after the Jos troubles, according to the Red Cross.
The clashes were triggered by a rumour Friday that the majority-Muslim All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) had lost a local election to the mainly Christian Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), according to a police spokesman.
Muslims and Christians for the most part cohabit peacefully in Nigeria.
Except when Muslims have to deal with them as democratic equals, in which case they -- that is, the "youth" -- go on rampages, killing hundreds.

"German man of Pakistani heritage" charged with recruiting, raising money for al-Qaeda
It's probably about time to update any Trivial Pursuit cards that may ask about Pakistan's #1 export.
Aleem Nasir Update. "Pakistani-German tried on al-Qaida charge," from the Associated Press, December 1:
KOBLENZ, Germany – A German man of Pakistani heritage went on trial Monday on charges he raised money and recruited people for al-Qaida.
Aleem Nasir faces a possible 10 years in prison if convicted of membership in a terrorist organization.
Nasir, 46, declined to give a statement as his trial opened in a Koblenz state court, but he has previously denied the charges.
Prosecutor Ulrich Boeter told the court that Nasir is suspected of recruiting fighters for al-Qaida and distributing propaganda for the organization.
Prosecutors said he traveled regularly to Pakistan and that, "by summer 2004 at the latest," he had agreed with al-Qaida leaders to recruit members and supporters in Germany.
Besides raising money for al-Qaida, he supplied equipment such as binoculars, night-vision goggles, laser range-finders, digital compasses and radios, prosecutors said.
You'll wonder how you ever carried on an interior spiritual struggle without them.
Before his arrest in February at his home in the southwestern state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Nasir had been arrested in Pakistan in 2007.
Nasir has said that during his two months in prison there, he was interviewed by British, American and Pakistani secret services. In an interview after his imprisonment, he said he had been tortured.
Al-Qaeda Playbook, Lesson 18.
If statements were made under torture they are inadmissible in Germany, but the court has not yet ruled on whether the evidence from Pakistan can be used. Boeter told the court Monday that even without it, his case was strong.
"We are certain that it will end with a conviction," he said.
A verdict is expected sometime in January.

Al-Qaeda second banana: Muslim governments are protecting the interests of Crusaders and Jews, preventing Muslims from joining jihad

Chatty
The first objective is to overthrow those Muslim governments and replace them with Sharia states. The next objective is to take the jihad to the West more energetically than that is being done now.
"Al Qaeda's No. 2 Praises Executed Bali Bombers," from AP, December 1 (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):
[...] Ayman al-Zawahiri says in an audio recording posted Monday on an Islamic Web site that Indonesia and other governments in the Islamic world are protecting the interests of the Crusaders and the Jews and preventing Muslims from joining the jihad against them. The 22-minute recording is al-Zawahiri's third in less than two weeks.
The recording also contains statement by two of the Indonesians executed in November in which they call on Muslims to continue the jihad against the United Sates and the West.

Welcome to the Police State: 20,000 uniformed troops inside U.S. by 2011
And it will be an Orwellian Police State, too: Thoughtcrime is already subject to ostracism and vilification, and what with the UN ready to codify it, and Obama signaling that he wants to increase the importance and influence of the UN, how long will it stay out of the U.S.?
And why is this necessary? Primarily "to help state and local officials respond to a nuclear terrorist attack." Of course, to call the Muslim community in America to account and compel it to stop teaching Sharia supremacism and hatred of Jews and Christians -- that would be "bigoted." Of course, to halt Muslim immigration in light of the impossibility of distinguishing peaceful Muslims from actual and potential jihadists -- that would be racist. Of course, even to institute some kind of screening of Muslims who enter the country in order to determine their adherence to Sharia principles and to make agitation for Islamic law (stonings, amputations, no free speech, no freedom of conscience, etc.) in this country grounds for deportation -- that would be "Islamophobic."
So if we can't do all that or even anything close to those things, what is left? What can we do? Why, become a Police State, with armed troops roaming the streets. After all, the next terror threat could just as easily come from the local Methodist church as from the local mosque. Better have that Wesleyan Center adequately covered.
"Pentagon to Detail Troops to Bolster Domestic Security," by Spencer S. Hsu and Ann Scott Tyson for the Washington Post, December 1 (thanks to Anne Crockett):
The U.S. military expects to have 20,000 uniformed troops inside the United States by 2011 trained to help state and local officials respond to a nuclear terrorist attack or other domestic catastrophe, according to Pentagon officials. The long-planned shift in the Defense Department's role in homeland security was recently backed with funding and troop commitments after years of prodding by Congress and outside experts, defense analysts said.
There are critics of the change, in the military and among civil liberties groups and libertarians who express concern that the new homeland emphasis threatens to strain the military and possibly undermine the Posse Comitatus Act, a 130-year-old federal law restricting the military's role in domestic law enforcement.
But the Bush administration and some in Congress have pushed for a heightened homeland military role since the middle of this decade, saying the greatest domestic threat is terrorists exploiting the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Before the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, dedicating 20,000 troops to domestic response -- a nearly sevenfold increase in five years -- "would have been extraordinary to the point of unbelievable," Paul McHale, assistant defense secretary for homeland defense, said in remarks last month at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. But the realization that civilian authorities may be overwhelmed in a catastrophe prompted "a fundamental change in military culture," he said....

Mumbai in the U.S.? Fort Dix suspects were training for "jihad"
So says informant Besnik Bakalli, and he doesn't mean an interior spiritual struggle. Fort Dix Jihad Update: "Informant: Fort Dix suspects trained for 'jihad,'" by Geoff Mulvihill for Associated Press, December 1 (thanks to duh swami):
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- An FBI informant testified Monday at the trial of five men accused of plotting to kill soldiers at the Army's Fort Dix that a trip they took to Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains was intended as training for a holy war.Besnik Bakalli (BES'-nik bahk-AHL'-ee), an illegal immigrant from Albania, said he had hoped the trip in February 2007 with some of the defendants and other men would merely be a relaxing vacation.
Deputy U.S. Attorney William Fitzpatrick asked him what the trip turned out to be.
"Training, for jihad," Bakalli said.
He said the men shopped for guns, went to firing ranges and played paintball during their week in the mountains.
He also said they talked constantly about Islam, war between the Muslim world and America, guns, and their respect for Osama bin Laden....

"The world has never experienced such a plague of darkness like the plague of Islamic fundamentalism that reveres death over life"
"Community Memorial For Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and Rivka," delivered by Rabbi Marvin Hier at the Chabad House, Westwood, November 30 (from the Wiesenthal Center, thanks to Pamela):
What is there to say or speak? What has become of our world? First, let me express my heartfelt sympathy to all the victims in Mumbai of this horrific attack – Jews and non-Jews, the families of the murdered, the maimed and the traumatized.Every Saturday night when Shabbat concludes, Jews around the world make a special blessing, “Blessed are you Almighty…who has separated the holy from the secular – light from darkness.” Never has there been such a clear distinction between the world of light and the world of darkness.
In one community, a wonderful 29-year-old Rav Gavriel Holtzberg and his 28-year-old wife Rivka, of blessed memory, were in their Chabad house and what were they doing my friends? Helping people – meals for strangers, places to stay for travelers, counseling for the downtrodden and forgotten, Kosher food and a place to pray and study for those seeking spiritual sustenance.
They could have stayed in Israel or in the United States. They had a child who died of genetic illness and another who is hospitalized with the same ailment. They had no political motivations – all they wanted to do was work hard for a better world.
On the other hand, the young men who came by boat - they too had a task – who should they murder? Should it be the doctor making his hospital rounds, nurses at their stations, a mother shopping for her family, a grandmother walking near the hotel with her grandchild or anyone who just happened to look in their direction?
The world has never experienced such a plague of darkness like the plague of Islamic fundamentalism that reveres death over life – that teaches young people that the preferred way to get to heaven is by murdering and maiming. Even the worst murderers in the history of mankind, the Nazis, who gassed millions - for themselves would do anything to live another day. That’s what Eichmann and Mengele did when they were on the run.
The world should be very clear – achieving martyrdom by killing innocent civilians is an abomination – it is a concept that desecrates religion, denigrates humankind, and defames G-d himself.
But it is not only the terrorists who bear the responsibility – it is the religious leaders who programmed them, inspired them, and sent them, who are equally culpable. Joseph Goebbels and Julius Streicher never killed anyone – but they were named as war criminals at Nuremberg because on a daily basis, they poisoned the minds of tens of millions of Germans. That is exactly what the Imams of the Islamic Fundamentalists do.
The world must not remain silent. We have the tools to at least do something. The United Nations must make suicide terror a priority. Why is it that the General Assembly can call special sessions on drug cartels, on AIDs, on disarmament, on apartheid – all crucial issues – but it has not yet called for a special session on the greatest crime of the 21st century – suicide terror?
The other day, I saw someone on television making the point that we must understand the grievances of the terrorists – that the world has neglected them. My friends, if there is anyone who has grievances in history – it should be the Jewish people and, particularly, the generation of survivors of the Holocaust – who witnessed 1/3 of world Jewry gassed and murdered. They too had grievances – but did you ever see children of survivors blowing up hospitals, hotels, schools, and restaurants?
Yet what was their reaction? They picked themselves up by the bootstraps, taught themselves how to smile and love again, educated their children to dignify the world and not to destroy it – to contribute to it and not to demean it.
In keeping with that tradition, I’m sure that 2-year-old Moshe Holtzberg who was miraculously saved, who has no parents to bar mitzvah him or to escort him to his wedding, will learn about his parents and will grow up following in their footsteps – teaching kindness and love and finding good in people.
And to you, the supporters of the terrorists, wherever you are – your concept may be new, but we’ve seen your prototype before – you’re not the first to threaten our humanity. For 3,500 years, we’ve seen your likes during the pogroms, the Inquisition and the Holocaust and we’ve never changed our belief.
To use a metaphor that is appropriate for the forthcoming Chanukah festival - that one cruise of light that emanated from of the Chabad house in Mumbai has contributed more to humanity than your whole ideology and way of life. The Jewish people whom you seek to destroy will still be here – long after you and your haters have been deposited in the dustbins of history.

Investigators: Mumbai jihadists trained in Pakistan
Temperatures rising. "Mumbai gunmen trained in Pakistan-investigators," by Krittivas Mukherjee for Reuters, December 1 (thanks to all who sent this in):
MUMBAI (Reuters) - Indian investigators said on Monday the militants who attacked Mumbai had months of commando training in Pakistan, raising the risk of heightened tension between the nuclear-armed neighbors as recriminations mounted at home. The fallout prompted a second top politician from the ruling Congress party to resign, amid growing fury at intelligence lapses many Indians believe let 10 Islamist gunmen kill 183 people and besiege India's financial capital for three days....
"I don't want to jump to any conclusions myself on this, but I do think that this is a time for complete, absolute, total transparency and cooperation and that is what we expect (from Pakistan)," Rice told reporters traveling with her to London....
Good luck with that.
"This is a different relationship than it was a number of years ago. Obviously they share a common enemy because extremists in any form are a threat to the Pakistanis as well as the Indians," Rice said.
A team from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation was in Mumbai on Monday to help with the probe into the attacks, in which six Americans died, an embassy spokesman said. Two senior Indian investigators told Reuters on condition of anonymity that evidence from the interrogation of Azam Amir Kasav, the only gunmen of the 10 not killed by commandos, clearly showed that Pakistani militants had a hand in the attack.
The clean-shaven, 21-year-old with fluent English was photographed during the attack wearing a black T-shirt emblazoned with the Versace logo. He has said his team took orders from "their command in Pakistan," police officials said.
The training was organized by the Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group, and conducted by a former member of the Pakistani army, a police officer close to the interrogation told Reuters on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak.
"They underwent training in several phases, which included training in handling weapons, bomb making, survival strategies, survival in a marine environment and even dietary habits," another senior officer told Reuters.
The Pakistani-based Lashkar-e-Taiba made its name fighting Indian rule in Kashmir but was also blamed for an attack on the Indian parliament in 2001 that brought the nuclear-armed neighbors close to war the next year.
Lashkar had close links to Pakistan's military spy agency in the past, security experts say, although the government in Islamabad insists it too is fighting the group and other Islamist militants based on its soil.
"NO ONE ACTED"
India said on Sunday it was raising security to a "war level" and had no doubt of a Pakistani link....
Pakistan denied Indian TV reports on Monday that its envoy to India had been summoned over the crisis, an embassy official in New Delhi said, adding that a planned meeting with Indian authorities was scheduled and routine.
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has appealed to India not to punish his country for last week's attacks, saying militants could precipitate a war, the Financial Times reported on Monday.
"Even if the militants are linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, who do you think we are fighting?" Zardari told the newspaper.
Officials in Islamabad have warned any escalation would force it to divert troops to the Indian border and away from a U.S.-led anti-militant campaign on the Afghan frontier....
And what are they doing there, except fuming at U.S. strikes inside Pakistan?
Home Minister Shivraj Patil stepped down on Sunday, as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said he would overhaul and boost the nation's counter-terrorism capabilities...."We have a figurehead prime minister," strategic affairs expert K. Subrahmanyam said. "There is an impression that the government is weak and not able to deal with terrorism."
Uh, yeah. But join the club. What government in the West and the rest of the non-Islamic world isn't weak and unable to deal with Islamic supremacism in all its forms, including the stealth jihad?

Mumbai jihadists refused Islamic burial: "People who committed this heinous crime cannot be called Muslim. Islam does not permit this sort of barbaric crime"
Now if he could only convince the living jihadists of that.
"Mumbai cemetery won't bury gunmen," from AP, December 1 (thanks to Paul):
A Muslim graveyard has refused to bury nine gunmen who terrorized Mumbai over three days last week, leaving at least 172 people dead and wreaking havoc at some of its most famous landmarks. The men are not true followers of the Islamic faith, according to the influential Muslim Jama Masjid Trust, which runs the 7.5-acre (three-hectare) Badakabrastan graveyard in downtown Mumbai.
"People who committed this heinous crime cannot be called Muslim," said Hanif Nalkhande, a trustee. "Islam does not permit this sort of barbaric crime." [...]
While Nalkhande said several Islamic scholars had backed the trust's decision, some also criticized the move.
Even militants must be given a proper burial, said scholar Maulauna Zubair Ahmed.
"As per the Shariah, the trust cannot say no," he said, referring to Islamic law. "The Shariah says whether a Muslim is a drunkard, rapist, criminal, you must offer him a place for burial."...

CNN aids Mumbai jihad: ‘We thought we were safe... then CNN stepped in!’
In mad pursuit of The Big Story, CNN unwittingly aids the Islamic jihadists it wouldn't dare name as such. From the South Wales Echo, November 29 (thanks to Anne Crockett):
A SOUTH Wales couple caught in the Mumbai terror attacks claimed last night that CNN put their lives at risk by broadcasting where they were.Lynne and Kenneth Shaw, of Penarth, warned that terrorists were listening in to the media to pinpoint Western victims....
From her home in Penarth yesterday, Mrs Shaw said: “We have been asked by the British terror police not to talk to the press.
“But the reason I would not want to talk to anyone is because our safety was actually compromised by CNN, which broadcast where we were.
“The terrorists were watching CNN and they came down from where they were in a lift after hearing about us on television. For that reason I would appeal to the media to be very careful about what they broadcast.
“When we left Mumbai there were still around 100 people trapped there.”
She added: “People talk to one another on mobile phones and that gets broadcast and the terrorists knew from that.”
A spokesman for CNN, said: “CNN has received no complaint from any individual regarding our coverage and their safety. We take such matters very seriously.
“We had CNN and Turner Broadcasting employees staying trapped at the Taj hotel during the attacks, and were vigilant about anything we broadcast that could compromise the safety of those inside.
“We are not aware of the allegedly compromising broadcast, but even in the absence of key details such as when and where, we will continue to check.”

Jihadist "planned Mumbai-style massacre in Britain"
What will prevent this? What will keep this from happening one day -- particularly since honest discussion of the jihad ideology is increasingly forbidden, not by statute (yet) but by the stifling fog of political correctness?
"Islamic terrorist 'planned Mumbai-style massacre in Britain,'" by Duncan Gardham for the Telegraph, December 1 (thanks to all who sent this in):
Kazi Nurur Rahman, from east London, was associated with the same terrorist group that is accused of the attack in India which killed almost 200 people. He was arrested in a sting operation as he tried to buy three Uzi submachine guns and 3,000 rounds of ammunition.
He had talked of buying up to five weapons, hand grenades and as many bullets as possible along with Russian-made rocket-propelled grenades and SAM-7 surface-to-air missiles.
When police raided Rahman's home they found a scanner which enabled him to listen in to police radios along with information on guerrilla warfare.
Counter-terrorism police believe Rahman was planning to arm a gang of associates.
One senior officer told the Daily Telegraph: "This was definitely part of a larger order and the fact that he tried to buy three submachine guns means you only have to do the maths to know he was not the only one involved."
Police also accept that, had he succeeded in buying the weapons, it would have been difficult to stop a massacre on a similar scale to India.
Rahman, 31, was an associate of Omar Khyam, the leader of a gang plotting to blow up Bluewater shopping centre or the Ministry of Sound nightclub with a fertiliser bomb.
Khyam trained with Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) the Kashmiri separatist group accused of the Mumbai (formerly Bombay) massacre, before he turned to al-Qaeda....

Minneapolis: Imam, mosque official barred from flight to Saudi Arabia
Possibly because of an investigation of their mosque over the Somalis who are "disappearing" from Minneapolis to return home to wage jihad. "Somalis' holy trip ends at airport" by James Walsh and Pam Louwagie for the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune, November 30 (thanks to A.C.):
An imam and a youth coordinator at a Minneapolis mosque were prohibited from boarding a flight Saturday morning to Saudi Arabia as part of a spiritual pilgrimage, an attorney for the mosque confirmed Sunday. The attorney said it's likely the men are on a federal "no fly" list because they and the mosque have been connected by rumor to a number of missing Somali men whose families fear have returned to their East African homeland to fight in that nation's civil unrest or to receive terrorist training.
The FBI, which has been investigating alleged links between some in Minneapolis' large Somali refugee community and the strife in that nation, would not comment on the airport incident. The scope of any such links, if they exist, remains unclear.
Sheikh Abdirahman Ahmed of Abubakar As-Saddique, a large mosque in the Cedar-Riverside area of Minneapolis, and the mosque's youth coordinator, who did not want to give his name, were not allowed to board a flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, but were not told why. The youth coordinator said others in a group that planned to make the trip -- a hajj, or spiritual pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina-- also were not allowed to board, but he did not know how many people were involved.
Mahir Sherif, a California attorney who represents Abubakar as well as other Somali mosques across the country, said there are many possible reasons why the men are on the federal Transportation Security Administration's "no fly" list, which as of mid-August contained about 50,000 names. But he suspects that the reasons are linked to stories circulating in the Somali community that the mosque has been used to indoctrinate and train young men to return to Somalia -- stories that Sherif strongly denied Sunday.
"We think, we suspect, there is some kind of formal investigation [of the mosque] being conducted by the FBI right now," Sherif said. "What gave me more evidence that there is some kind of official investigation going on was that the second man was kept from boarding. He is head of a youth group at the masjid [mosque]."...
Such an investigation would be refreshing.

CAIR's banquet, website, donations: all illegal!

Honest Ibe or Outlaw Ibe?
Why? Because CAIR doesn't exist. More on this story, and more hot water for the unindicted co-conspirators who continue to enjoy access to and influence over willfully blind media ops and public officials. "Updated with Letter to the IRS: CAIR in violation of IRS 501c3 statute," from SANE, November 30:
One of the important discoveries emanating from the lawsuit by former CAIR clients against CAIR for fraud and racketeering is the fact that the law firm prosecuting this lawsuit (Law Offices of David Yerushalmi) discovered that CAIR's corporate charter in the District of Columbia had been revoked as of September 8, 2008. That means pursuant to DC law that the only thing CAIR can do is engage in those necessary acts to dissolve the corporation and to distribute its assets (and to defend itself in litigation for fraud and racketeering). But it also means per the IRS code, that CAIR is no longer a valid 501c3 tax exempt organization because it is no longer a valid organization (see here).
Here is what we know from the attached pdf files (go to this entry's unique web page to download):
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, Inc. was legally formed on September 15, 1994.
On June 15, 2007, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Inc. changed its name to the Council on American-Islamic Relations Action Network, Inc. (Our research indicates that this was done when CAIR sought to convert from a 501c4 lobby group to a 501c3 "non-lobby" group. See, e.g., the most recent available 990 of the organization for the year 2006, also attached above [here].)
In any event, on September 8, 2008, the Council on American-Islamic Relations Action Network, Inc.'s corporate certificate and articles of incorporation were revoked by the DC Corporations Division for failure to make the necessary filings.
The same fate befell CAIR Foundation, Inc., which was originally created to be the 501c3-arm of CAIR.
That corporation (CAIR Foundation, Inc.) was created February 15, 2005.
Corporate status revoked September 8, 2008.
We understand from very reliable sources (see attached letter from David Yerushalmi to IRS [here]) that this information has been forwarded to the D.C. office of the IRS. We await word on any investigation and final disposition.
By the by, every act by CAIR that is not one toward dissolution is a misdemeanor in the District of Columbia (D.C. Code § 29-301.87). That means its 14th Annual Dinner was illegal; it means its website is illegal; it means that anyone who contributes money after September 8, 2008 thinking CAIR is a legitimate 501c3 organization has been defrauded (truth be told, the fraud began long ago but it is now quite patently a fraud).

British, Malaysian-issued credit cards reportedly linked to Mumbai jihadists
More on this story. "Religious head incited killers," by Bruce Loudon for The Australian, December 1 (thanks to JE):
The al-Qa'ida-linked Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists suspected over the Mumbai massacre were trained in Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, and were incited by speeches from their leader in Lahore.
As the sole surviving terrorist was interrogated in Mumbai, security sources told The Australian that 10 terrorists were picked by LET for the suicide mission.
They were ordered to "kill until your last breath" and murder up to 5000 people.
The captured Mumbai jihadist, Ajmal Amir Kamal, appears to be changing his story a bit. In earlier coverage, he reportedly said the jihadists undertook the mission with the expectation of surviving and escaping.
They did so after provocative speeches by Hafiz Mohammed Saeed last month in Lahore, capital of the Punjab.
Saeed, described as LET's supreme religious and political head, declared in one speech: "The only language India understands is that of force, and that is the language it must be talked to in."
The email claiming responsibility for the Mumbai attack minutes after it started last Wednesday was generated on a computer based in Pakistan.
And a satellite telephone captured from the terrorists revealed calls made to numbers in Pakistan during the attacks, reports said.
Officials said the terrorists' route to Mumbai had been recorded on GPS co-ordinates contained in the satellite phones.
Sources said the 10 terrorists -- most of whom were believed to be Pakistanis -- were ordered to undergo training to attack Mumbai.
The captured gunman, Ajmal Amir Kamal, 21, reportedly told intelligence sources the group had trained openly in Muzaffarabad before heading to the nearby Mangala dam for lessons in marine commando techniques.
The group then visited Rawalpindi, which adjoins Islamabad, the Pakistan capital and site of the Pakistan army headquarters.
From there, the group took a train to the port city of Karachi, where, heavily armed, they boarded a freighter for the trip to Mumbai. Along the way, they became nervous about Indian coastguard activity and almost aborted the mission. [...]
Conflicting evidence obtained by intelligence agencies suggests that the group may have had local support, and that one or more of its members may have been staying locally, possibly even in the Taj Mahal hotel.
A British link to the attacks was raised over the weekend when a senior Indian official claimed that Britons were among the militants.
Vilasrao Deshmukh, the chief minister of Maharashtra state, in which Mumbai lies, was quoted on an Indian television station as saying that British citizens had been detained.
British MP Patrick Mercer, a former Tory security spokesman, said he had been given information that at least two of the terrorists had credit cards and other identifying documents that linked them to Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, in northeast England.
The claims, however, were not substantiated by official British sources, who said there was no evidence "at this stage" that Britons had taken part in the attacks, although they acknowledged that events were "moving fast" and more information was emerging about the nationality of the terrorists.
MI5 and British counter-terrorist police are keeping in close touch with their counterparts in India and are alert to the possibility that Britons with Pakistani origins might have been involved. Significant numbers of young British Pakistanis have taken part in terrorist training in Pakistan.
A phenomenon known as the "Al-Qaeda Pipeline."
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that there was no evidence of Britons being involved, and the Foreign Secretary David Miliband said: "We obviously will want to work very closely with the Indians but it is too early to say whether or not any of them are British."
Malaysian police are investigating reports that Malaysian-issued credit cards were found in the belongings of the terrorists involved in the Mumbai attacks.
Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar said Malaysia had no links with the terrorists, responding to an Indian report that nine of the gunmen claimed to be Malaysian students when they travelled to Mumbai several months ago. [...]

"Unfortunately, we have yet to see a distinguished popular condemnation in the traditional Arab or Muslim communities that strongly rejects what is happening in the name of Islam"
Who said that? What greasy Islamophobe dared to call into question the sincerity or adequacy of Muslim condemnations of terrorism?
Would you believe Khaled al-Jenfawi, a columnist for Kuwait's Al-Seyassah daily?
Anyway, in this story, "Muslims condemn Mumbai attacks, worry about image," by Karin Laub for The Associated Press, November 30, Muslim leaders and spokesmen worry a great deal about the possibility that these jihad attacks in Mumbai by a Tiny Minority of Extremists™ will lead people to think ill of Islam.
Of course, there is one thing they could do about that that would actually begin to make people think better of Islam, but no one even whispers anything about doing it in this article or anywhere else. And that would be to begin to saturate mosques and madrassas with the message that jihad warfare is never justified, that the imperative to subjugate unbelievers under the rule of Islamic law must be decisively rejected, and that peaceful coexistence as equals with unbelievers is to be maintained indefinitely. If Islamic clerics stopped talking about conquering Europe and America, and began to teach the opposite, things might begin to improve. If Muslim leaders worldwide energetically pronounced takfir upon -- that is, declared to be non-Muslim -- all those who maintained belief in the Qur'an's literal words of warfare, and in the traditional Islamic doctrines regarding jihad warfare (whether hot war or otherwise), and upon anyone who wished to impose Sharia upon unbelievers by whatever means and at whatever speed, and if those leaders demonstrated their sincerity by actions instead of mere words, informed non-Muslims might begin to think better of Islam.
But these things will not happen. They're not even on the table. Instead, many of the same people quoted in this article work to brand any non-Muslim who points out the ways in which jihadists use Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence and supremacism as a "bigot" or a "racist." And that in itself, however effective a tactic it may be among the ignorant and easily intimidated, is revealing.
RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — Muslims from the Middle East to Britain and Austria condemned Sunday the Mumbai shooting rampage by suspected Islamic militants as senseless terrorism, but also found themselves on the defensive once again about bloodshed linked to their religion.Intellectuals and community leaders called for greater efforts to combat religious fanaticism. [...]
"The occupation of the synagogue and killing people in hotels tarnishes the Muslim faith," said Kazim al-Muqdadi, a political science lecturer at Baghdad University. "Anyone who slaughters people and screams `Allahu Akbar' (God is Great) is sick and ignorant."
In Britain, home to nearly two million Muslims, a spokesman for the Muslim Council of Britain, Inayat Bunglawala, said that "a handful of terrorists like this bring the entire faith into disrepute." [...]
A man identified as Sheik Youssef al-Ayeri said the killings are in line with Islam.
"It's all right for Muslims to set the infidels' castles on fire, drown them with water .... and take some of them as prisoners, whether young or old, women or men, because it is one of many ways to beat them," he wrote in the al-Fallujah forum. [...]
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad referred to the attacks as terrorism, but added that the violence is rooted in "unjust policies" aimed at destabilizing the region. He did not elaborate. [...]
Saudi Arabia said in a statement carried earlier this week by the Saudi Press Agency that it "strongly condemns and denounces this criminal act." An editorial Friday in Saudi's English-language Arab News said that "no civilized person ... can be anything but revolted and sickened by the terrorist attacks in Mumbai."
However, Jonathan Fighel, an Israeli counterterrorism expert, said Saudi organizations have been funneling money to Muslim militants in Kashmir.
"This demonstrates exactly the double game and, I would say, the hypocrisy of the Saudi regime," said Fighel of the Israel-based International Institute for Counter-Terrorism.
Throughout the Muslim world, the attacks set off soul-searching.
"I think that Muslims should raise their voice against such actions. They should forge a coalition to fight such phenomena, because it harms them and damages their image," said Ali Abdel Muhsen, 22, a Muslim engineering student in the West Bank city of Nablus.
Muslims and Arabs must confront the violence "that is taking place in our name and in the name of our (Islamic) tenets," wrote Khaled al-Jenfawi, a columnist for Kuwait's Al-Seyassah daily.
"Unfortunately, we have yet to see a distinguished popular condemnation in the traditional Arab or Muslim communities that strongly rejects what is happening in the name of Islam or Arab nationalism," wrote al-Jenfawi.

UK to import 5,000 Pakistani butchers
Is this really the time to be talking about bringing large numbers of Pakistani butchers into the West?
"5,000 Pak butchers to get jobs in UK," by Asif Mehmood for Pakistan's The Nation, November 30 (thanks to all who sent this in):
LONDON - Over 5,000 butchers from Pakistan would get employment in the halal meat industry of UK through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between National Halal Foods Group (NHFG) of UK and Overseas Employment Cooperation of Pakistan. The MoU has been signed here at the Pakistan High Commission, London Friday.

Bostom: Hindus, Jews, and Jihad Terror in Mumbai
In The American Thinker, Andrew Bostom, the editor and compiler of the superb, essential collections The Legacy of Jihad and The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism, tells truths that the mainstream media won't tell you (many links in the original):
Sixty hours of jihadist terror depredations throughout India's financial capital, Mumbai -- during which nearly 200 innocent victims were murdered, and 300 wounded -- apparently ceased this Saturday, November 29, when Indian commandos slew the last three gunmen inside a luxury hotel, while it was still ablaze. Mainstream media coverage of these rampaging, cold-blooded murderous acts of jihad terrorism -- perpetrated by a self-professed "mujahideen" organization (i.e., "The Deccan Mujahideen") -- consistently ignored the clear ideological linkage to Islam. Simply put, "mujahideen" are Muslim jihadists, "holy warriors," because there is just one historically relevant meaning of jihad, despite present day apologetics. The root of the word jihad appears 40 times in the Koran and in subsequent Islamic understanding to both Muslim luminaries -- from the greatest jurists and scholars of classical Islam, to ordinary people -- meant and means "he fought, warred or waged war against unbelievers and the like." As described by the seminal mid-19th century Arabic lexicographer E.W Lane, "Jihad came to be used by the Muslims to signify wag[ing] war, against unbelievers." A contemporary definition, relevant to both modern jihadism and its shock troop "mujahideen" was provided at the Fourth International Conference of the Academy of Islamic Research at Al Azhar University, Cairo -- Islam's most important religious educational institution -- in 1968, by Muhammad al-Sobki:
...the words Al Jihad, Al Mojahadah, or even "striving against enemies" are equivalents and they do not mean especially fighting with the atheists...they mean fighting in the general sense...Contemporary validation of the central principle of jihad terrorism -- rooted in the Koran -- (for example, verses 8:12, 8:60, and 33:26), i.e., to terrorize the enemies of the Muslims as a prelude to their conquest, has been provided in the mainstream Pakistani text on jihad warfare by Brigadier S.K. Malik, originally published in Lahore, in 1979. Malik's treatise was endorsed in a laudatory Foreword to the book by his patron, then Pakistani President Zia-ul-Haq, as well as a more extended Preface by Allah Buksh K. Brohi, a former Advocate-General of Pakistan. This text -- widely studied in Islamic countries, and available in English, Urdu, and Arabic -- has been recovered from the bodies of slain jihadists in Kashmir. Brigadier Malik emphasizes how instilling terror is essential to waging successful jihad campaigns:
Terror struck into the hearts of the enemies is not only a means, it is the end in itself. Once a condition of terror into the opponent's heart is obtained, hardly anything is left to be achieved. It is the point where the means and the end meet and merge. Terror is not a means of imposing decision upon the enemy (sic); it is the decision we wish to impose upon him..."Jihad," the Koranic concept of total strategy...[d]emands the preparation and application of total national power and military instrument is one of its elements. As a component of the total strategy, the military strategy aims at striking terror into the hearts of the enemy from the preparatory stage of war...Under ideal conditions, Jihad can produce a direct decision and force its will upon the enemy. Where that does not happen, military strategy should take over and aim at producing the decision from the military stage. Should that chance be missed, terror should be struck into the enemy during the actual fighting.
...the Book [Koran] does not visualize war being waged with "kid gloves." It gives us a distinctive concept of total war. It wants both, the nation and the individual, to be at war "in toto," that is, with all their spiritual, moral, and physical resources. The Holy Koran lays the highest emphasis on the preparation for war. It wants us to prepare ourselves for war to the utmost. The test of utmost preparation lies in our capability to instill terror into the hearts of the enemies.
The Islamic correctness of most mainstream media outlets -- which refused to consider such ideological motivations, rooted in jihad -- did not apply, however to Hindus, or Jews-targeted infidel victims of the attacks. Blithely ignoring obvious Islamic and Muslim connections -- credit taken for the attacks by a mujahideen organization; or testimony from a Turkish Muslim couple briefly apprehended, and then released unharmed by the jihadists because, "...[w]hen the (Muezzinoglus) said they were Muslims, their captors told them that they would not be harmed" -- some media (at Fox; NPR) even voiced their own "speculations" about the possible culpability of "Hindu extremists," an absurd calumny, stated in full paranoid transference mode by the Muslim Brotherhood:
A photograph published in Urdu Times, Mumbai, clearly shows that Mossad and ex-Mossad men came to India and met Sadhus and other pro-Hindutva elements recently. A conspiracy was clearly hatched.Yet these same media offered no speculation about Islamic Jew-hatred as an obvious potential motivation for the transparently selective attack on Mumbai's Chabad House -- a focal point symbol of the miniscule Jewish community of 5000 (or 0.03%) in a city of some 15 million inhabitants. More egregiously, this neglect of any hateful Islamic motivations for the targeted murder of such innocent Jews -- including a young Lubavitcher Rabbi and his wife -- was accompanied by consistently dehumanizing and demeaning references to these victims as "Ultra-Orthodox," and their entirely false characterization as "missionaries."
This current Jewish tragedy within a much larger non-Muslim, primarily Hindu tragedy, reminded me of the Indian Sufi "inspiration" for The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism, Ahmad Sirhindi. Nearing completion of my first book compendium, The Legacy of Jihad, in early 2005, specifically the section about jihad on the Indian subcontinent, I came across a remarkable comment by the Indian Sufi theologian Sirhindi (d. 1624). Typical of the mainstream Muslim clerics of his era, Sirhindi was viscerally opposed to the reforms which characterized the latter ecumenical phase of Akbar's 16th century reign (when Akbar became almost a Muslim-Hindu syncretist), particularly the abolition of the humiliating jizya (Koranic poll tax, as per Koran 9:29) upon the subjugated infidel Hindus. In the midst of an anti-Hindu tract Sirhindi wrote, motivated by Akbar's pro-Hindu reforms, Sirhindi observes,
Whenever a Jew is killed, it is for the benefit of Islam.
There is much more. Read it all.
